Europe Session

The Europe session is intended to address topics which relate to two broad themes, firstly, exploration and development frontiers, and secondly, science and technology in maximising hydrocarbon recovery. The common threads will be through contributions which address success stories in mature basins, the application and development of state-of-the-art technology and/or which give pointers to the future of the European hydrocarbon basins, for example through further development of enabling technologies and subsurface insights within mature areas or through the development of new plays. Within this framework, talks and poster contributions may range from broad regional petroleum system evaluations and re-evaluations, through emerging and proven exploration plays and exploitation technologies, to field scale development, exploitation and re-development/rehabilitation. Contributions which employ subsurface visualisation and imaging technologies, particularly related to field exploitation topics, or which draw new exploration or exploitation lessons from old hydrocarbon accumulations, will be of particular interest.
